5/9/14 Video News: FEC's confusing guidelines, China censors Bitcoin, and Bitcoin Foundation election results

Video: http://moneyandtech.com/may9-news-update/
Today in Money & Tech:
Yesterday, we reported that the Federal Election Commission issued guidelines allowing bitcoin political donations in response to a specific request from political action committee Make Your Laws. However, we've since learned that the parameters of this decision may extend beyond those laid out specifically for this individual use case. We're joined by Christopher David, founder and CEO of CoinVox, who shed more light on what this decision from the FEC actually means.
USA Today has temporarily changed the logo in the header of their website incorporating the Bitcoin symbol. Clicking on the Bitcoin logo leads to an article on the FEC's approval of bitcoin political campaign donations.
Voting on the Bitcoin Foundation’s two vacant board seats concluded last night with BTC China CEO Bobby Lee and bitcoin entrepreneur Brock Pierce winning by a small margin. Bobby Lee has been a strong voice for the bitcoin community in China, where his bitcoin exchange BTC China has been doing it's best to stand up against the China central bank’s ban on bitcoin-related bank accounts. Brock Pierce, another avid proponent of the bitcoin community, is involved in several bitcoin startups such as GoCoin, ExpressCoin, KnCMiner and Robocoin Asia, and is helping drive the proposal to revive bankrupt bitcoin exchange Mt. Gox.
The proposed plan to revive bankrupt bitcoin exchange Mt. Gox has received preliminary approval in an Illinois court, allowing it to be more formally vetted in Japan. The plan would involve settling the current class action lawsuits, and then granting those former exchange users a 16.5% equity stake in the new operation. However, the defense argues that this plan would also create new lawsuits from both the new and former Mt. Gox users, which could keep the accused parties in litigation for an undefined period of time.
The IRS announced Wednesday that it will be contracting out to cybersecurity nonprofit National Cyber-Forensic Training Alliance starting June 1st. The contract will involve researching crimes utilizing digital currencies, and providing the federal government with real-time cyber threat intelligence. According to the IRS document, the Alliance will be expected to “identify significant cybercriminals engaged in financial crimes, as well as initiatives that highlight virtual currencies and virtual currency exchangers that service criminal clientele.”
The Winklevoss Twins have filed with the SEC to have their new Winklevoss Bitcoin Trust listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange, which would make it the first publicly-listed bitcoin exchange traded fund. According to the SEC filing, the Winklevoss ETF is expected to IPO for $1 million total shares worth a total of 200,000 bitcoins, so that each share is worth one-fifth of a bitcoin.
The China Digital Times has leaked a set of documents instructing Chinese media to censor their coverage of certain sensitive issues in China. This time, bitcoin made the list, which ended with instructions to refrain from participating in or reporting on The Global Bitcoin Summit 2014 kicking off tomorrow in Beijing. The instructions said "All websites are asked not to participate in or report on the summit. Do not hype bitcoins. All reporting on bitcoins must henceforth accord with the specifications of financial regulatory agencies." This comes as additional negative news for the Summit, after the recent announcement from 5 of the largest Chinese bitcoin exchanges that they will not be attending or participating in the event.
Meanwhile in China, a company called Hardbit has announced the release of a physical Bitcoin wallet. About the size of a credit card but thicker, the device touts many security features, as well as a camera to allow it to make in-person bitcoin transactions quickly. The wallet is now on sale in China, with plans to distribute internationally from May 10th onwards.

Kanye West Only Raised $2,782 for His Presidential Campaign Last Month

This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 48%. (I'm a bot)
After falsely claiming he's beating both Joe Biden and Donald Trump in Kentucky, securing a spot on the ballot in just 12 states, and potentially committing electoral fraud in an attempt to appear on even more presidential tickets, Kanye West is still so convinced of the success of his campaign he's reportedly willing to dump millions of dollars of his own money into it without receiving a whole lot in return.
According to the recent Federal Election Commission report filed by his campaign, West's presidential bid is looking more like a money pit than a victory lap.
Of those raised funds, $1,582 came in unitemized contributions of under $200 and he received two itemized contributions, one of $1,000 and a second of $200. Jacobs added in a follow-up tweet that in a new FEC 48-hour filing, West contributed $2,113,002.
99 to his own campaign on October 19, in addition to the $9.76 million he's already loaned the initiative.
Even if West isn't actually raking in the donations or winning many votes, he has caught the attention of independent presidential candidate, Bitcoin billionaire, and Mighty Ducks child actor Brock Pierce.
If he really wants to get West's attention, Pierce could simply give a donation of over $1,000, which would officially make him one of the musician's biggest campaign contributors to date.

FEC.gov website doxes me for my $1 donation but elites can use dark fiat money groups to donate millions anonymously. But Bitcoin Bad!

A while back, I had donated $1 to a democrat, to keep their anti-war voice on the DNC debate stage.
I was under the (wrongful) impression that small donations were anonymous.
Nope, my name, employer, city, state, zip code, & donation are listed on the FEC.gov website.
https://www.fec.gov/data/receipts/individual-contributions/
Meanwhile, elites can donate millions anonymously through dark money groups.
Dark money In the politics of the United States, dark money refers to political spending by nonprofit organizations — for example, 501(c)(4) (social welfare) 501(c)(5) (unions) and 501(c)(6) (trade association) groups — that are not required to disclose their donors.[3][4] Such organizations can receive unlimited donations from corporations, individuals and unions. In this way, their donors can spend funds to influence elections, without voters knowing where the money came from. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_money
Seems like a rigged game, especially when individuals can be attacked or fired for their political beliefs.

But don't invest in Bitcoin, cause some poor criminals used it! /s

Bitcoin is part of the peaceful solution.

The US and other countries have been silently overthrown by criminal bankers who have the sole ability to legally create all the fiat currency they want, then use the newly created money to enrich and empower themselves and their cronies. (money printer go B-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R)
Those bankers and their cronies now own and operate most of the important politicians, certainly both political parties in the US. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citizens_United_v._FEC)
Those bankers are accountable to nobody. The politicians/parties are only accountable to those bankers, that is, the politicians and judges and regulators are no longer accountable to the people. Your vote no longer matters, as the same bankers own and operate both "sides". ( https://www.huffpost.com/entry/both-parties-are-owned-by_b_7561400 | https://www.opensecrets.org/news/2017/03/richest-billionaires-are-top-political-spenders/ | https://www.npr.org/2011/12/14/143730288/top-donors-make-up-one-quarter-of-campaign-donations?t=1591367576600 | etc)
The police are not accountable to the people. They have all kinds of authority without the accountability to go with it. They now rule over you, and me. The police are only accountable to the corrupted politicians, who, in turn, are only accountable to criminal bankers who are accountable to nobody. The criminal bankers now run the world.
How do you win a wabattle? You cut off the enemy's supply lines.
The only supply line the criminal bankers have is their ability to create infinite amounts of their fiat currency "play money," then use it to buy actual wealth, and to empower themselves and selected cronies. Take that away and find out that they are just weakling cowards and old men... sociopaths.
To weaken their supply line, start using gold, silver coins, Bitcoins, and barter as much as possible. This makes Bitcoin part of the peaceful solution.

Welcome to /r/conspiracy, where we all know that criminal conspiracies are ongoing in the political sphere, but thousands of people want to come here and tell us we're wrong.

While this sub is progressively getting targeted more and more obviously, and while reddit continues to deteriorate and we all know what those problems entail, there is good news.
First of all, you are all being told you need to be scared of Russian bots and propaganda and blah blah blah. With all of this anxiety pushed onto the Internet community, the truth is there is a simple answer to this problem.
Just ignore the "bots." (We know they're shills.)
They employ a variety of strategies that you are probably getting better and better at spotting them. They even push political agendas in subs that have nothing to do with politics.
brokedown created /bestofnopolitics, which is amazing because it is automated to remove political content. You can use these tools for the power of good. But, beyond politics I have come across a variety of troubling agendas being pushed even in places like /relationships. Imagine if someone was always pushing bad advice in places like that through a variety of accounts.
These strategies cost money. https://upvotes.club is one of many places where you can buy upvotes or downvotes, accounts, comments, submissions, etc. Check it out.
What this means is that if you talk about Pizzagate anywhere on Reddit, someone is paying to disrupt that conversation. So, while you get hate and you get downvotes, you can take comfort in knowing that those were paid for and you are costing someone money... or bitcoin. Notice people are even buying bitcoin positive propaganda and propaganda that is negative to bitcoin. Who is playing on each side of that?
If you really wanted to have fun, you could employ this type of service to upvote Pizzagate evidence directly to the front page for not that much money. In turn, the opposition has no choice but to outspend you. It's a win-win for reddit and that is why they look the other way.
Another simple strategy that you can employ is just using basic automation tools, like IFTTT. SpecialAgentRando decided he wanted to experiment with some of his friends, so they used IFTTT to search RSS feeds to populate places like /FBIWatch.
What immediately happened is the news adapted and had to start changing the title of their articles because only negative stuff started showing up. I'm sure plenty of people can do better, but I think those subs were created just to illustrate a point.
Certain topics seem to get you banned and I am very curious how much a ban costs.
For example, if you were to go to /exmormon and create a detailed list of evidence that supports the truth of the Pace Memorandum, you will get banned. It seems /exmormon is controlled opposition and designed to make ex Mormons look like hateful idiots. If you actually start crushing them with evidence that illustrates how the prime LDS families, like the Kimball's, have been in bed with the Clintons for ages (in the DR, no less) you will get banned.
Recently, in /The_Donald, I learned that detailed posts about Ruben Vardanyan will get you banned. Ruben Vardanyan was appointed by Putin and was involved in paying up to a $100 million into the DNC machine in the time coming up to the election. Between this money and Herb Sandler's money, we can see that the Russian interference DID OCCUR, but they were supporting Hillary. Plain and simple.
It is very curious that the most vindicating information for /The_Donald users will get you banned. It seems their interests are diametrically opposed to the truth.
Ultimately, I started with the Panama Papers and became very interested in the Uranium One scandal. The Uranium One scandals proves a few very important things that the Internet interference is desperately trying to keep the public from knowing.
1) The news is NOT just in it for the ratings, they are serving an agenda and they do exactly what the FBI, John Podesta and the CIA tell them to do.
2) Pizzagate is real in the sense that the Clintons are involved in human trafficking and you only have to go so far as State Department reports to prove that the Uranium One mines in Kazakhstan are using forced labor and the Glencore connections also involve forced labor, along with VCS mining, Rusoro, etc. FEC records prove that Comet Ping Pong is one of many money laundering nodes that help break down larger sums, so that Ruben Vardanyan & Co can avoid exposure.
3) The intelligence community is likely multi-national, correlated by think takes like Tavistock and coordinated in a very compartmentalized manner where their guiding principle is to control and manipulate "the social dream," and they are, essentially, legalized organized crime.
4) The amount of media they have infiltrated and taken over is basically everything... movies, tv, the news, the Internet, music, etc. Again it's compartmentalized for plausible deniability, but as soon as you know how compartmentalization works, it is impossible to deny. Why? Because now you can follow the money without bias.
FOLLOW THE MONEY
Good luck everyone. It's all going to be okay.
(Oh yeah... and new accounts are blocked not to stop bots... they are used to stop people who were recently banned from coming right back and posting again. The SS was created to slow down posting because it costs too much to just let everyone post tons of contents that need downvotes.)

Open Letter to Christian Hilland at the FEC.GOV Who Will Never Get this Email Because His IT Staff Are F***** Idiots

I tried to send a message to [email protected] and I received something like 20 undeliverable messages.
Whomever your IT guy is, you need to fire them immediately. They've managed to cobble together a faulty microsoft exchange server on something called fireeyecloud managed I believe on amazon's EC2 cloud servers.
Anyway, it's not working, and you're not getting your emails, because, as usual, the US government hires microsoft people who don't know what they are doing, and when they get caught screwing up, they go to congress and waste 350M people's time by pleading the fifth. We're pretty unhappy about that still
But we're MUCH MUCH more unhappy about criminal aliens being given drivers licenses, when large crowds of people were being run over every few months between 2015 and 2018, all aliens btw, and because an NJ study invalidated alien votes to find that yes POTUS 45 actually did win the popular vote. The only reason to issue criminal aliens a drivers license is to enable drug, human trafficking (including themselves, which multiple fed statute violation I can quote for you); and issuing the license is a felony; anyone who allows it and doesn't enforce has committed felony misprision. No one is doing anything about this, and that is why I reached out to you
I've also sent the email I had sent to you ([email protected]) to the white house and to DOJ, both of which demonstrated they are listening to these messages in some capacity.
We need YOU the FEC to step up in this effort and push for a CITIZEN registration process, and secondarily, open source (free) software exists NOW to be able to do what is considered a 3rd grader activity, which is to properly count things using regular algebra. Now I understand, counting to 350 million is hard, but it's something a computer can quite easily do. And if we TRUST banks to manage our money; and we trust crypto to do the same, then we can trust banks and crypto to vote
One could run the ENTIRE voting system on TWO bank accounts. And then use registration to disburse "special money" to deposit into it. This is the "balls in the hat" technique.
Cryptocurrency (for example, a FORK of Bitcoin, call it "US_VOTECOIN" for sake of argument), could be used to give instant, atomic, consistent tally of popular vote. Electoral vote stays the same; or is easily based on blockchain vote.
This technology is avialable NOW and it is free. One could make a virtual machine image of a US voting kiosk, and then write this to tens of thousands of DVDs, then ANY computer could run this system.
Since it gives INSTANT tally, then a citizen duly authorized by Social security backed Identification registration process, could take their 'token' and then place it into the bank account ('bitcoin wallet') of the person they wanted to vote for. Instant update to the account; which is world viewable in realtime
Problem solved. There is your electronic voting system. WAY more secure than microsoft, which has been running a secret surreptitious child pornography dark network filesystem from within their operating system for decades. And I knwo this because I found it, reported it to the polices, as a computer expert trying to eliminate rapidly spreading viruses on thousands of host computers at university of georgia in 2000 and had to make an affidavit swearing that the person on whose computer I found child pornorgaphy on did not have the tech knowledge to access it (actually it was child snuff films..it was torture and murder, and I didn' tknwo if it was real or not when i saw it, then it struck me and was a very dark day indeed). My assessment, along with that of another expert, was that microsoft windows and server were specifically designed to allow this darknet to persist, hidden by the operating system itself
The is why the US government has installed microsoft everywhere
And its' why I run linux now, but changces are, you're a good person Christian Hilliand and don't know anyting about this. But now you do
What will you do with this newfound information? Put your head back in the sand? I won't
Fix teh election process now so we can stop things like this. Whether you like Trump or not, he's your president and he's the best chance of stopping things like I decribed.

I am running for Congress and just started to accept Bitcoin!

Hello, my name is Will Hammer and I am the Libertarian Party candidate for Congress in the 6th district of Virginia, running against Bob Goodlatte. I have been a long time Bitcoin supporter and have posted many times in bitcoin with my personal account and been a long time subscriber. I am running on many issues, but since this is bitcoin I wanted to let y'all know that one issue is to keep Bitcoin deregulated, keep government from trying to regulate it. I have been a long time critic of the Federal Reserve, our monetary policy, etc. I know Bitcoin, and other cryptocurrencies, are the future of currency, as well as payment systems, and will most likely make the Federal Reserve and possibly the government minuscule or even obsolete.
You can find more information on my campaign at the links below, as well as donate if you are inclined to do so on my website. I recently started to accept Bitcoin as a donation method since the FEC voted to allow it unanimously. Please excuse my issue pages being not in depth, as I am focusing on getting signatures to get on the ballot, have to get 1000 signatures by June 10th.
If you are in the 6th district of Virginia, or near, and want to help get me on the ballot, please contact me about petitioning or download my petition on my website to help get signatures. I will need as much help as I can get as I am going against an incumbent of 11 terms and running as a third party candidate in a traditionally conservative district. But, I think this is a good opportunity to unseat a business as usual Republican as there is no Democrat running against him and more people are identifying as independent than Republicans or Democrats now more than ever.
I will be checking this throughout the day, so if you have any questions please ask!
